Pay starting at $22.00 / hr. Experienced candidates may be eligible to start at higher pay. Pay will be determined based on experience and skill set.

Interstate Sand and Gravel is a surface limestone mine / quarry currently seeking an Experienced Equipment Operator for our Interstate Sand and Gravel operation located in Williamsport, IN.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to :

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including dozer, excavator, front end loader, dredge, haul truck, dragline excavator, and general work around the quarry operation
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years' experience operating dragline and / or loader, excavator is preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge
• Ability to maintain safe working conditions.
• Self-starter / ability to work without close supervision.
• Previous experience working in mining environment preferred.
• Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays.
